FRANCE, Philip IV of Valois (1328-1350). Gold Pavilion. (Au. 5.01g \/ 31mm). Anv: PHILIPPVS DEI GRA FRANCHORVM REX. Felipe IV crowned seated facing front carrying a scepter, under a draped pavilion, around the king of lily flowers. Rev: XPC VINCIT XPC REGNAT SPC IMPERAT. Arched cross with fleurs-de-lis at the ends within a quadrilateral with crowns at the ends. (Duplessy 251). AU. Very rare and precious rare specimen in this spectacular quality.
